UD Rome 1989 — 10-Day

Every semester in Rome, UD declares a particular week “10-Day”. This is approximately spring or fall break. On Thursday, we have morning classes, and on Thursday afternoon, the campus is closed up. No food. No hot water. Get your 2-month Eurail pass and hit the road. My group, unsurprisingly, was seminarians and we went on a pilgrimage. Lourdes, Loyola, Madrid, Avila, El Escorial, Valle de los Caídos, Barcelona, Montserrat, and then a traditional finish at the Hofbräuhaus in Munich. If you stumbled on this page without context, you can read about the experience and find a brief photo gallery.
